In his newly launched performance, Jacob Collier, a musician, a magician, a genius...is showing everyone the power of play with a symphonic orchestra!
You see how the veteran musicians, including the most sceptical, hesitant, serious ones are joining his play as he unleashes his creativity.
Here are some (more) assumptions based on a 10 years choir experience, having shared stage with symphonic orchestras, that were used to play very "important" music of Mozart, Bach, Mahler...
🧡 I assume it wasn't easy for him, to get there, in front of all these musicians, in front of a huge audience and play conductor, turning this big serious orchestra into his synthesizer.
🧡 I assume it wasn't all fun for the musicians to give in to the idea of playing random notes for a self made star in short pants, which in this case the cutest overalls and the silliest crocs.
🧡 I assume these musicians, who have spent their entire lives being meticulously taught to play the surgical correct note, didn't expect to enjoy being out of tune.
🧡 I assume the audience, holding their breath as they watched didn't see this masterpiece of play was leading to "Somethin' Stupid"...
Yet, this is such a brilliantly designed story/storytelling and experience.
So I also assume if you feel music,
you'll be in tears of joy when you watch this fresh video of him.
